On Wednesdays, I go to the office to attend meetings and work from office. It is a nice change of pace, although I get to enjoy it less nowadays, due to having to tend to my wife during her pregnancy. It was like any other Wednesday that I am having, work well, relax, go home, work on the train to get the hours in. Suddenly we stop one station before my destination, and I hear the dreaded announcement:
Due to circumstances this train will not be moving to our destination, the ride is cancelled.
I know enough Dutch by now to understand the announcements thankfully so I wasn't just sitting there doing nothing with a non-moving train. Experience led me to immediately go for the bus stop and grab the first bus. Then, the bus also stops one stop before. At this point I am suspecting something big is going on so I jump on news and there it is. There as been a bomb threat in the bus stop next to the train station on my destination. No buses, no trains, nothing.
So obviously at this point I know already that I am screwed. Thankfully I got picked up by a car after walking quite the long walk to a place where traffic was allowed. I made it home and immediately passed out till 9pm. Too warm, forgot my meds, walked too much, combine everything and it was a recipe for disaster. Still trying to recover but at this point it is nothing a good night's sleep cannot solve.
Sadly, due to being busy with lots of things, I could not study Rust too much nowadays. Tomorrow I have Dutch classes too. Can't wait until I am in a better spot.
Now gotta sleep.
